Susku Ekim Kaya is the founder and producer of October Productions. She was born on 9 November 1990 in Istanbul. She moved to London, UK in 2010 for studies. She has studied Psychology at London Metropolitan University and graduated in 2015. She trained at the International School of Screen Acting in 3 Mills Studios and graduated in 2017 with a screening at BAFTA. She has experience in theatre, feature films, short films, music videos, voice-overs and commercials. She has performed at the Arcola Theatre in the Mahmud and Yezida: Turkish Romeo and Juliet play. She also performed in a solo play “A Woman Alone” written by Dario Fo & France Rome. She performed in the adaptation of Max Frisch's novel Bluebeard at the Barons Court Theatre.
Susku Ekim Kaya has been chosen as the face of the Staunch Test campaign in 2021, designed by the famous British screenwriter Bridget Lawless, who is best known as the author of the BBC TV series "The Bill," she is also the founder of the Staunch Book Prize, an award for thriller novels without violence toward women.
In 2023, she will star in the feature film "3 Frauen 1 Streik" alongside Itziar Ituno, a well-known TV actress who starred in the Netflix series "La Casa De Papel," which made an impact worldwide.
Besides her acting career, she is also working as a producer and director. In 2020, she directed a multi award winning short film "Will You Be My Quarantine?". Her name was mentioned in the New York Times for her success. An award-winning short film called Barriers about mental health was produced and starred by herself.
She has produced, directed, and starred in a number of projects over the years.
